baths, bubbles, windows & toes

on saturday, the girls shared their first 'real' bath together. grant tried once to put lucy in with hazel a couple months ago and she (lucy) flipped out. grant's solution was to put lucy in her baby tub in the bathtub during hazel's baths. different, but effective. anyway, saturday, he tossed out the baby tub and lucy did fine:

i painted my toe nails the other day and when grant gave hazel the choice of colors for her nails, she wanted to be like mommy:
(as much as i detest feet, my own included, i thought this was a cute picture.) we decided to go to our park today and grant let hazel 'help' him get the stroller. lucy, sad to be left behind, crawled to the window to let her opinion known. hazel noticed and cheered lucy up:
at the park, one of hazel's favorite things to do is blow bubbles. i thought it was time to include lucy in the festivities:(normally, i would have cropped or deleted this picture. we 'ran' to the park in 85+ degree weather so i was literally dripping sweat and beet red. but after reading this excellent post by mckenna, i decided to keep it and post it, gut and all) this next one cracks me up. lucy kept opening her mouth and sticking out her tongue, trying to eat the bubble and everytime she missed she giggled:grant has a knack for blowing huge bubbles. so i got a little (or a lot) competitive in my mind, meaning i didn't tell grant i was trying to one-up-him, and, after many, many tries, got this beauty:

i think this might be my new favorite picture of lucy. she's so pretty.
